CPCUG TV Hits the Web
In "Touching Up Your Photos," the topic of the first 15-minute segment of episode 4 of CPCUG's TV Show, Observing Technology, host Dennis Courtney interviews CPCUGer Nerine Clemenzi. Matt Armstrong of The Computer Place answers questions about "Wired and Wireless Technology" in the second segment of the same episode. A new show is broadcast at the end of most months on channel 21 in Montgomery County, Maryland. Twelve episode are complete. Two additional shows need to be edited. Merrill Hessel, the chair of CPCUG's Digital Video SIG, is the producer. The popular episode 4 is available now on the Web. More information about CPCUG TV to follow.

CPCUG Science Fair Award Presentation

Before the start of our May CPCUG General Meeting, Jessica Shipman, a sophomore at Freedom High School in South Riding Virginia, presented and answered questions about her science fair project, "The Relationship Between Image Compression Type and Image Quality." During the meeting Walt Houser, CPCUG Science Fair Director, congratulated Jessica and presented her with an award plaque, savings bond, and a 1-year membership in CPCUG.
